Responsibilities Make meaningful contributions to a dynamic synthetic / medicinal chemistry group. Design and optimize synthetic routes to access target compounds on milligram to gram scale. Apply a broad range of chemical reactions and purification techniques in the lab. Analyze and interpret NMR and LC-MS data. Generate accurate and detailed experimental records. Present and contribute to internal projects and chemistry meetings. What we are looking for: A relevant PhD qualification or an MSc combined with industry experience. Experience working independently to design and optimize synthetic routes, analyse analytical data, and deliver high-quality compounds to support drug discovery programs. Broad knowledge of organic synthesis and practical expertise in purification and analytical techniques, such as HPLC, NMR and LC-MS. A strong communicator and collaborator. This is a lab based position located at our new, state-of-the-art facilities at the Babraham Research Campus in South Cambridge.
