About The Role

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager on the Commercial Management team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing relationships within key accounts in the pharmaceutical sector. This role requires a strategic approach to account planning and execution, along with strong communication and selling skills to drive results and achieve sales targets. The Key Account Manager is fully responsible for all commercial field-based activities within the UK (Northwest) territory and is accountable for driving territory sales in line with local targets/expectations.

What You\’ll Do

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead development of account plans and will be accountable for the delivery of these plans. You’ll also:

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer insight and use this knowledge to develop and deliver effective account plans
  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for growth within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make effective use of internal expertise and resources to benefit team performance
  • Balance & utilize all commercial tactics and channels depending on territory & account level needs
  • Maintain responsibility for promotional activities covering regional and national congresses
  • Act as the primary partner for all HCP’s/MDT/Payor customers on commercial topics within the respective territory
  • Align appropriate activities & resources to business potential / need.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders using insights from local account plans and previous call interactions to optimize call outcomes.
  • Achieve sales targets in line with overall business objectives through robust HCP interactions, cross functional account management and the incorporation of digital strategies
  • Implement process excellence initiatives to streamline account management practices and demonstrate effective time management & resource allocation

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field, along with a minimum 3 years of proven track record in sales within the Pharmaceutical industry.

You Are Or You Also Have

  • Experience within specialty care, hospital sales environment & likely the ‘high cost drugs’ environment. Prior respiratory experience is beneficial.
  • Recent launch experience in an evolved National Health Service is preferred.
  • Business acumen & ability to account manage, working collaboratively within a x-functional team and a Key Account Manager framework.
