You'll conduct detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties, diagnose damp, timber and moisture-related issues, produce professional reports and quotations, and provide clients with practical, technically robust solutions. You'll have the support of an experienced operations team, allowing you to focus on what you do best: surveying, advising clients and converting recommendations into instructed works. We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong commercial awareness and who enjoys building trust with customers through honest, detailed and professional advice.

Responsibilities

  • Travelling to survey appointments independently
  • Covering South England (Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London)
  • Prepare technical reports and drawings
  • Use of CRM system
  • Resolve customer queries in a timely manner
  • Self-employed or employed basis

Position Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Damp Surveyor, Damp & Timber Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Property Surveyor
  • Strong understanding of building pathology, damp diagnosis and timber preservation
  • Experience producing professional survey reports and specifications
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities

  • A proven ability to convert survey opportunities into instructed works
  • The ability to work independently

Ideally, you'll also hold industry-recognised qualifications such as:

  • CSTDB
  • CSRT
