You’ll work closely with project managers, discipline leads, and external stakeholders to build realistic and deliverable schedules aligned with project objectives.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Lead Planner will include:

  • Act as the functional owner for planning across the organisation, defining planning standards, processes and templates for consistent delivery.

  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, aligned to stage-gate development (Concept, Feasibility, FEED, Detail Design).
  • Identify critical path, schedule risks and opportunities.
  • Facilitate planning workshops with technical teams and discipline leads.
  • Provide planning input for proposals, bid programmes and tender responses.
  • Support monthly project reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Lead continuous improvement in project planning and project controls.
  • Support resource planning and future growth of the planning capability.

Preferred Profile: We are looking for individuals who can bring the following:

  • Demonstrated experience as a planner or planning engineer in an engineering and design consultancy or EPC project environment - ideally with industry exposure to energy, major industrial or infrastructure sectors.
  • Ability to build multidisciplinary engineering schedules across concept, feasibility, FEED and detailed design stages.
  • Strong Primavera P6 capability (schedule build, logic, baselining, critical path analysis), alongside Microsoft Project experience.
  • Effective communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable: Experience or ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives of project controls and planning is desirable, alongside an understanding of integrated cost/schedule reporting. Ideally, hold APM, PMI or relevant planning / project management qualifications.
