An established and highly respected independent accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified tax professional looking to take on a senior advisory role within a collaborative and forward-thinking practice. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Directors, advising a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, groups, and entrepreneurial clients across a range of corporate tax matters. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available, with the opportunity to work from a choice of office locations.

As Senior Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients while delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Reviewing corporation tax returns and ensuring compliance obligations are met.
  • Providing corporate tax planning and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and corporate groups.
  • Advising on business restructures, group reorganisations, share transactions and succession planning.
  • Supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals, mergers and other transactional matters.
  • Advising on capital allowances, R&D tax relief, loss utilisation and other tax-efficient planning opportunities.
  • Assisting with due diligence projects and transaction support work.
  • Identifying tax risks and opportunities for clients and providing practical, commercial solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working closely with Partners on complex advisory assignments.
  • Managing, mentoring and developing junior members of the tax team.
  • Supporting business development activities and contributing to the continued growth of the tax department.
About You:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • CTA qualification (essential).
  • ACA or ACCA qualification desirable.
  • Significant experience within Corporate Tax gained in practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation.
  • Experience advising owner-managed businesses, corporate groups and entrepreneurial clients.
  • Previous experience reviewing corporate tax compliance work.
  • Strong advisory skills with a commercial approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
