We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our team. You will play a key role in leading audits, managing teams, and supporting the development of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audits under the guidance of a Manager or Principal.
- Manage on-site audit teams.
- Plan audits, perform completion procedures, and prepare management letters.
- Assist in supervising and providing work-based training for junior staff.
- Support Audit Managers with delegated tasks, including planning, completion, and file reviews.
Client Portfolio:
- Mid-corporates and SMEs.
- Larger groups, including UK subsidiaries of overseas parents.
- Specialist audits: Pension Schemes, Charities & Not-for-Profit Organisations, Solicitors, FCA regulated entities.
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 2 years' audit experience within a UK accountancy firm.
- IT competent and familiar with computerised accounting packages.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work on own initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to prioritise effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Employment Details:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (hybrid working).
- Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
Benefits Package:
- Annual Christmas bonus (equivalent to 1 week's salary).
- Pension scheme (Employer 5%, Employee 3%).
- Private medical insurance after 3 months (taxable benefit).
- Death in service cover (4x salary).
