Corporate International Tax Manager | London | £75,000-£85,000

International tax. Cross-border M&A. Global clients. Real career progression.

If you're a qualified tax professional looking for a role that offers genuine international exposure and the opportunity to work on more complex, commercially focused tax matters, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

We're working with a leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong reputation across the UK and internationally.

Their Corporate International Tax team is growing, and they're looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a high-performing team working with clients ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups and scale-ups through to major multinational and FTSE-listed businesses.

Why this role?

This isn't simply another compliance-focused Tax Manager position.

You'll work across a broad range of international tax and advisory projects, with exposure to:

  • Cross-border M&A transactions
  • International tax planning
  • Transfer Pricing
  • UK/US tax consulting
  • Corporate tax advisory
  • International restructurings
  • Entrepreneurial and private businesses
  • Large multinational and listed groups

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, Directors and Partners while developing trusted relationships with clients and building your own commercial profile.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, providing a combination of tax compliance and advisory services while identifying opportunities to add further value.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of corporate and international tax clients.
  • Building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Delivering tax compliance and advisory projects.
  • Working alongside Directors and Partners on complex tax matters.
  • Supporting cross-border M&A and international tax planning projects.
  • Reviewing work completed by more junior team members.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
  • Managing project delivery, budgets, billing and risk.
  • Identifying opportunities for additional work and supporting business development.
  • Working collaboratively with other specialist teams across the firm and internationally.
  • Contributing to the wider development of the tax team.

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with qualified tax professionals who want to develop their international tax career.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • ACA, CTA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong post-qualified experience within an accountancy or professional services environment.
  • Experience in corporate tax and/or international tax.
  • A genuine interest in international tax and cross-border advisory.
  • Experience managing client relationships and dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Strong technical, commercial and communication skills.
  • The confidence to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.

You don't need to have experience across every area listed above.

If you have a strong corporate tax background and are interested in developing your international tax, M&A or transfer pricing exposure, we'd still like to hear from you.

What makes this opportunity different?

More international exposure. More complex work. More opportunity to build your career.

You'll be joining a growing team working across multiple industries and client types, giving you the opportunity to develop a genuinely broad international tax skillset.

You'll have access to experienced senior professionals, international colleagues and a varied client portfolio - while being given the autonomy to take ownership of your work and relationships.

What's on offer?

£75,000 - £85,000 basic salary

Plus a strong benefits package, agile working and structured opportunities for professional and career development.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a team where there is genuine scope to broaden your technical expertise and progress your career.

Interested?

If you're currently a Tax Manager, Assistant Manager ready for the next step, or an experienced Senior looking to move into international tax, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.

You don't need to be actively looking.

If international tax, cross-border M&A and working with a genuinely diverse client base sounds like the direction you want your career to take, this could be worth exploring.
