We're working with a highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to appoint a Business Services Associate to join its growing team in London. This opportunity would suit a graduate, AAT student or early-career accounting professional looking to gain broad exposure across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting while studying towards a professional qualification.

The Role
As a Business Services Associate, you'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a range of sectors. You'll gain hands-on experience across core accounting disciplines while developing strong client-facing skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Completing bookkeeping assignments and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with the production of management accounts
- Reconciling balance sheet and control accounts
- Supporting senior team members with client projects and ad-hoc assignments
- Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
About You

You'll ideally have:
- A strong academic background
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment or a genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive and positive approach to learning
It would be advantageous if you are currently studying towards, or have completed, the AAT qualification.
