A well-established charity is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join them during an exciting period of transformation. This is a brilliant interim role where you'll be stepping into a critical position, working closely with the CFO to keep things running smoothly whilst leading a major finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central.
What You'll Be Getting Stuck Into
- Managing the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Overseeing year-end audit process and maintaining auditor relationships
- Leading cash, banking and treasury management operations
- Managing income and accounts payable processes with appropriate controls
- Leading the finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Maintaining robust internal controls across all finance operations
What We're Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial PQE
- Proven experience managing finance functions and leading finance teams
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
- Charity sector experience highly desirable
- Experience of finance system implementations would be a significant advantage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to hit the ground running and make immediate impact
The Details
This is a 37.5 hour per week role based in Rugby with hybrid working available. Core hours are 10am-3pm, giving you flexibility either side. You'll be working alongside a committed team who are genuinely passionate about the lifesaving work they support. The role requires a Basic DBS check.
