Leading National Not for Profit and charities organisation Rugby, Warwickshire (Hybrid) 3-6 Month Assignment £350-£375 per day Starting ASAP

A well-established charity is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join them during an exciting period of transformation. This is a brilliant interim role where you'll be stepping into a critical position, working closely with the CFO to keep things running smoothly whilst leading a major finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central.

What You'll Be Getting Stuck Into

  • Managing the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Overseeing year-end audit process and maintaining auditor relationships
  • Leading cash, banking and treasury management operations
  • Managing income and accounts payable processes with appropriate controls
  • Leading the finance system implementation from Exchequer to Business Central
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Maintaining robust internal controls across all finance operations

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with substantial PQE
  • Proven experience managing finance functions and leading finance teams
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Charity sector experience highly desirable
  • Experience of finance system implementations would be a significant advantage
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and make immediate impact

The Details

This is a 37.5 hour per week role based in Rugby with hybrid working available. Core hours are 10am-3pm, giving you flexibility either side. You'll be working alongside a committed team who are genuinely passionate about the lifesaving work they support. The role requires a Basic DBS check.
