Central Hertfordshire

£160,000-£220,000 + Profit Share + Partnership

An established portfolio. A respected team. The chance to leave your own legacy.

Partnership opportunities don't often come with an established portfolio, an experienced leadership team and genuine succession planning already in place. This one does. We're working with a highly regarded national accountancy practice looking to appoint an Audit Partner to take over a significant portfolio following a planned retirement. Rather than spending years building a client base from scratch, you'll inherit an established portfolio worth over £1 million in annual fees, while helping shape the next chapter of an already successful regional office. The client portfolio is diverse, but one area is particularly important. The firm has built an outstanding reputation advising charities, education providers and wider not-for-profit organisations alongside entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses. They're looking for someone who enjoys working across both sectors and can bring credibility with trustees, finance directors, business owners and boards alike.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of an established £1m+ audit portfolio.
  • Acting as lead Partner across a broad range of charities, academies, education providers, owner-managed businesses and growing SMEs.
  • Supporting boards, trustees and senior leadership teams with strategic advice beyond the audit.
  • Growing the firm's presence across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire through networking and relationship development.
  • Coaching and mentoring Directors and future Responsible Individuals.
  • Driving audit quality while maintaining the collaborative culture the office is known for.
  • Working alongside fellow Partners on succession planning and long-term regional growth.

About you:

You'll already be an Audit Partner or an experienced RI Director looking for the opportunity to step into equity in the near future. You'll ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • RI status non essential.
  • Strong experience leading audits for charities, not-for-profit organisations and owner-managed businesses.
  • A commercial mindset and proven business development capability.
  • An existing network across London or the Home Counties would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for developing people.

What's on offer:

  • Partnership package between £160,000 and £220,000 depending on experience.
  • Profit share.
  • An established £1m+ client portfolio from day one.
  • Clear succession opportunity.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Excellent pension and private healthcare.
  • A genuinely collegiate Partner group where decisions are made locally rather than through layers of bureaucracy.

If you're looking for a Partnership opportunity where relationships, quality and long-term growth matter more than internal politics, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
