A leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Corporate M A Tax Senior Manager to join its growing Deals Tax team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to work on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate restructurings and strategic tax advisory projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners, Directors, private equity houses, corporate clients and other professional advisers on high-value transactions across multiple sectors. The role offers significant exposure to complex advisory work, client relationship management and business development activities, with a clear pathway towards Director level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructuring projects.
  • Manage and deliver tax due diligence assignments for corporate and private equity-backed transactions.
  • Advise clients on transaction structuring, acquisitions, disposals and post-deal integration planning.
  • Identify and assess tax risks, opportunities and commercial considerations arising from transactions.
  • Work closely with legal advisers, corporate finance teams, lenders and other professional advisers throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Support Partners and Directors in winning new business, preparing proposals and attending client meetings.
  • Mentor and develop Managers, Assistant Managers and junior team members.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and strategic development of the Corporate M A Tax practice.

Candidate Profile

  • CTA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong UK corporate tax background gained within a professional services environment.
  • Significant experience in transaction tax, M A tax, tax due diligence or corporate tax advisory work.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex projects and advising clients on transactional matters.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of deal processes.
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for business development and cross-selling.
  • Ambition to progress towards Director level within a leading advisory practice.
