As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad range of client work, from statutory accounts and tax compliance through to management information and more specialist projects. You will work closely with managers, clients and junior colleagues, building the experience needed to progress your career. The role offers excellent exposure within the accountancy sector, including the opportunity to support work across areas such as due diligence, valuations and other ad-hoc advisory projects. Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies and a range of owner-managed businesses Producing consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting clients with tax compliance Producing management accounts and financial information Building strong relationships with clients and responding to queries professionally Working closely with managers and assisting with wider client projects Responding to external auditor queries and supporting the audit process Getting involved in additional work including valuations, due diligence and specialist projects At least two years' experience working within an accountancy practice ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification, either qualified or actively studying Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns Good working knowledge of Xero and confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Experience with IRIS, Alpha, QuickBooks or Sage 50 would also be advantageous, as would a strong awareness of how technology can support modern accountancy services. 32,000-£39,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification level ~ Flexible working options ~23 days' annual leave plus public holidays ~ Additional holiday entitlement for each year of service ~ Enhanced pension contributions above the statutory minimum ~ Health plan benefits ~ Ongoing training and professional development ~ On-site parking
