Some Partnership roles ask you to maintain an existing business. This one asks you to create one. We're supporting a major international Accountancy firm that's making a significant investment into the Midlands. Backed by an established national Risk Advisory practice, substantial funding and full Board support, they're looking for an entrepreneurial Internal Audit and Risk Advisory Partner to establish and lead a flagship Birmingham offering. You'll have the autonomy, investment and authority to recruit your own leadership team, shape the service offering and build one of the region's leading Risk Advisory practices.
The opportunity
- Launch and lead a new Internal Audit and Risk Advisory practice across the Midlands.
- Build and recruit a high-performing team across Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk, Governance, Controls, Technology Risk and Transformation.
- Develop long-term relationships with FTSE businesses, large private groups, public sector organisations and leading not-for-profit institutions.
- Create a market-leading proposition covering governance, assurance, risk transformation and internal controls.
- Win new work through your own network and the firm's extensive client base and international referrals.
- Build a business capable of generating £5m-£10m annual revenue over the coming years.
- Represent the firm at board level, industry events and within the wider Midlands business community.
Who we're looking for
You'll already have an established reputation within Risk Advisory and be recognised for combining technical credibility with commercial leadership. You'll likely be:
- An existing Risk Advisory or Internal Audit Partner.
- Or a Senior Director with a clear track record of winning work and leading significant client relationships.
Experience across one or more of the following would be valuable:
- Internal Audit
- Enterprise Risk
- Governance
- Financial Controls
- Operational Risk
- Technology Risk
- Risk Transformation
- Financial Misconduct
Experience working with not-for-profit organisations, charities, housing associations, higher education or public sector bodies, alongside major corporate clients, would be particularly attractive as the firm continues to expand its specialist sector offering across the Midlands.
What's on offer
- £220,000-£300,000 base salary.
- Equity package capable of exceeding £400,000.
- Multi-million-pound investment to build your own practice.
- Freedom to recruit your own team.
- Dedicated marketing, business development and operational support.
- National and international referral network.
- Direct access to Board-level decision makers.
- A genuine opportunity to build one of the UK's leading Risk Advisory businesses.
This is one of those opportunities as Internal Audit and Risk Advisory Partner that rarely comes to market.
