I am supporting a well-established accountancy practice in North London that is seeking to appoint a commercially minded Audit Director / Partner with Responsible Individual (RI) status. This is a key strategic hire and the firm has a longstanding client base that includes entrepreneurial SMEs, international groups, and UK subsidiaries, and they are looking for an experienced RI to lead and grow the audit function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of audit clients, maintaining exceptional service and compliance standards
- Act as RI and sign off audit reports in line with FRC and ICAEW standards
- Provide leadership to a skilled audit team - mentoring, developing, and overseeing quality of work
- Work alongside existing Partners to shape strategic plans, drive growth, and lead business development initiatives
- Stay up to date with regulatory and reporting developments across UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISA standards
- Help modernise audit delivery through cloud-based systems and technology-driven efficiencies
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualification with current RI status
- Significant audit experience within a UK practice environment
