A well-established, growing accountancy firm with a strong UK-wide presence is looking to appoint an Associate Director - Tax Disputes Investigations into its Yorkshire team. The firm has an established client base across the UK and is continuing to grow its specialist tax offering. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Investigations professional to take a senior role, lead complex work and play a key part in developing the Yorkshire offering.
The Role
- Lead complex HMRC investigations and enquiries
- Manage COP8 COP9 cases
- Advise clients on contentious tax matters and HMRC enquiries
- Lead settlement negotiations and voluntary disclosures
- Manage HMRC correspondence, meetings and negotiations
- Build trusted relationships with senior clients
- Identify business development and new work opportunities
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Work closely with Partners on high-value engagements
- Support the continued growth of the Tax Disputes Investigations team
