I'm working with a well-established Top 50 UK accountancy firm that is looking to add a Tax Investigations Assistant Manager to its growing specialist team. This is a team that genuinely specialises in investigations and disputes, rather than investigations being a small part of a wider tax role. You'll get exposure to a varied caseload, interesting clients and complex HMRC work, while working closely with experienced Managers and Directors. What will you be doing? You'll be involved in a mixture of: HMRC enquiries and investigations COP8 COP9 cases Contractual Disclosure Facility cases Voluntary disclosures Tax settlements and negotiations with HMRC Reviewing client affairs and identifying potential tax exposures Preparing responses to HMRC Supporting complex and high-value investigations Building relationships with clients and helping them navigate the investigation process You'll have plenty of client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of your own ...
