Audit Senior

£38,000 - £42,000 | Full-time | Hybrid Working | Manchester
Ready to move beyond ticking boxes and build a career with real momentum? This Audit Senior role is ideal for an ambitious, switched-on audit professional who wants variety, responsibility and the freedom to develop their career in a modern accountancy practice.
You'll join a growing team, work with a genuinely varied client base and get involved in the detail rather than sitting on the sidelines. If you're ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified and ready for your next challenge, this could be a great move.

Why This Role?

Based in Manchester, you'll work alongside experienced managers and directors while taking ownership of your own assignments and client relationships.
There's plenty of opportunity to get stuck in, build your technical skills and start making your mark. You'll also have the chance to coach junior team members, develop your leadership skills and shape where your career goes next.

What You'll Be Getting Stuck Into

  • Planning and delivering external audits from start to finish
  • Taking the lead on-site and keeping assignments moving
  • Working directly with clients and getting under the skin of their businesses
  • Reviewing accounts, financial information and audit evidence
  • Spotting issues, asking the right questions and finding practical solutions
  • Working closely with managers and directors on more complex assignments
  • Supporting and mentoring trainees and semi-seniors
  • Building client relationships that go beyond simply getting the audit signed off
  • Looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who's technically strong but also brings energy, curiosity and a desire to progress.
You'll ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification, or be well on your way
  • Previous external audit experience within practice
  • Experience across a varied client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses
  • A solid understanding of auditing and financial reporting
  • Sharp attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues
  • A natural ability to support and bring on junior team members
  • Good technology skills and an interest in improving how things are done
  • CCH experience would be a bonus, but isn't essential

What You'll Get

  • £38,000 - £42,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Extra day off for your birthday
  • Paid volunteering day
  • Salary sacrifice car scheme
  • Tailored training and development
  • Support towards professional qualifications
  • Clear opportunities to progress
  • Company pension
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • A strong programme of social, community and team events

The £38,000 - £42,000 salary is backed up by a genuinely flexible approach to working, alongside plenty of support to help you progress.
If you're an ambitious Audit Senior who wants more responsibility, more variety and a team that's moving forward, this is one worth exploring.
