Semi-Senior Accountant (Audit, Accounts & Tax)
London - Β£35,000 - Β£42,000 + Excellent Benefits + Clear Progression
Ready to accelerate your accounting career?
I'm recruiting for a highly regarded accountancy practice that is growing its high-performing team and looking for an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant to join them.
This isn't a role where you'll be left doing the same work year after year. You'll gain broad exposure across accounts, audit, and tax, work alongside experienced Managers and Supervisors, and take on increasing responsibility as you develop.
Most importantly, there is a clear path to progression. If you're ambitious, perform well and continue developing, you'll have the opportunity to move quickly through the ranks.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting a varied client portfolio.
- Working across audit assignments both in the office and at client sites.
- Reviewing work and maintaining high technical standards.
- Building strong relationships with clients.
- Supporting and mentoring Trainees.
- Working closely with experienced Managers and Supervisors.
- Managing your own workload and deadlines.
- Using systems including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Excel.
- Developing your commercial and advisory skills through exposure to a broad client base.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally be ACCA or ICAEW part-qualified, with some professional stage exams completed, and have recent experience within UK practice.
You'll also bring:
- Experience across accounts, audit, bookkeeping and tax.
- Exposure to a variety of clients and sectors.
- A good understanding of current compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach.
- The ability to take ownership and deliver quality work.
- The ambition to qualify and progress into increasingly senior positions.
What's In It For You?
- Clear career progression based on performance and development.
- Full study support, including course and exam fees and paid study/exam days.
- Regular career reviews and structured objectives.
- Competitive salary and excellent benefits.
- Agile working, including a 50:50 home/office split following probation.
- Flexible working hours from day one.
- Opportunity to work overseas for up to two weeks per year.
- Holiday allowance increasing to 25 days upon qualification.
- Broad client and sector exposure to accelerate your development.
- Supportive, collaborative environment with a genuinely high-performing team.
- Employee recognition, wellbeing initiatives, Cycle to Work scheme and referral incentives.
Why This Role?
If you're a part-qualified accountant who wants to qualify, progress and take on more responsibility, this is a strong platform to do it.
You'll join a talented team, learn from experienced professionals and get the breadth of experience needed to become a well-rounded accountant. Your progression won't be left to chance - you'll have the support, exposure and structure to keep moving forward.
