We are recruiting for an experienced Works Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of large-scale projects, leading site operations and managing labour, plant and resources to ensure works are completed to programme and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations and project delivery
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Lead site briefings, toolbox talks and safety initiatives
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, HSEQ procedures and client requirements
- Support planning and resource allocation activities
- Mentor and supervise site teams and junior personnel
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Works Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure
- CPCS Managers SMSTS and First Aid certification
- Strong leadership and resource management skills
- Experience managing self-delivery civil engineering projects
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel
