Insite International are currently recruiting for Site Engineers to work on a project in Portsmouth.
Start Date: March 2026
Duration: On Going / Long Term work. Opportunity for a Permanent Position
Hours: Working 7am-7pm Monday to Friday
Pay: £(Apply online only) Per Day
This position will be working on a £340+ Million infrastructure project in Hampshire, reporting directly to the Project & Contract Manager.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Engineering & Technical Support
- Carry out surveying, setting out and volume checks in line with specifications
- Interpret ground investigations data, designs and specifications to produce accurate quantities and 3D earthworks models
- Manage machine control setup and operation, ensuring on-site accuracy
- Provide timely reports on earthworks progress and weekly volume updates
- Maintain excellent communication with QA & project management teams
- Support the preparation of quality, environmental and Health & safety construction plans
- Ensure accurate construction of works as per client requirements by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Planning for plant, labour, subcontractor & material resources
- Support the procurement processes and monitor supplier & subcontractor performance
- Support weekly progress reports for project financial CVRs & forecasts
We are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrable experience of working as a site engineer within the civil engineering construction industry preferably on large earthworks projects
- Expertise in Topcon/Trimble/Leica machine control systems
- Experience in advanced surveying and setting-out techniques using GPS & total stations
- Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Full UK Driving Licence is also required.
