Senior Site Engineer - Civil Engineering

£50,000 - £65,000 + Vehicle + Lodge Allowance + Benefits
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale earthworks and infrastructure schemes, supporting project delivery through surveying, setting out, machine control management and technical site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Surveying and setting out works on site
- Managing machine control systems and 3D modelling
- Monitoring earthworks progress and reporting project performance
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Supporting project planning, resource management, and procurement activities
- Ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting site teams
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- Previous experience within civil engineering, earthworks, or infrastructure projects
- Strong setting out and surveying experience
- Knowledge of machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble or Leica)
- Experience using GPS, Total Stations and surveying software
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
