An NHS organisation in Somerset is looking to appoint an experienced Estates Officer (Mechanical) to join its Estates & Facilities team in a key leadership role supporting critical healthcare infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified estates professional with experience managing complex building services in a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing maintenance, installation, and compliance of mechanical systems
- Overseeing HVAC, steam boilers, water treatment, and associated plant
- Acting as Authorised Person for critical mechanical services
- Supporting capital projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Ensuring compliance with HTMs and statutory regulations
- Leading on safety, governance, and technical assurance
Requirements:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong experience within estates/building services maintenance
- Knowledge of CAFM and BMS systems
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Healthcare/NHS experience advantageous
