We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer in Ipswich with a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 plus car allowance/vehicle and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Provide health and safety advice and support to site teams.
- Assist with RAMS, permits and project management documentation.
- Conduct inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Promote behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
- Support compliance with company HSE management systems.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
- IOSH membership or working towards Chartered status.
- Previous experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
