Tax Disputes Manager to join its growing specialist tax team in the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to work on a broad range of HMRC enquiries, investigations and dispute resolution matters, supporting a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals.

The Role

Tax Disputes Manager - South West

You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of tax disputes from start to finish, working closely with partners and clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The role offers exposure to complex and high-value matters while also providing the opportunity to help develop junior team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing HMRC enquiries, investigations and disclosures.
  • Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies.
  • Handling COP8, COP9 and other complex HMRC matters.
  • Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Supporting partners with technical advisory work and business development.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team.

About You

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Previous experience in tax disputes, investigations or HMRC enquiry work.
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a client-focused approach.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and build strong client relationships.
