A growing and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Outsourcing & Accounts Senior to join its collaborative office near Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional looking to join a supportive team environment with strong long‑term career prospects.
Working closely with Managers and Directors, you will support a varied portfolio of SME clients across outsourcing, management accounts, year‑end accounts and tax compliance.
The Outsourcing & Accounts Senior Role Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and review of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Preparation of year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Draft corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Working collaboratively to improve processes and drive efficiencies
- Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
- AAT qualification or strong relevant practice experience
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple client assignments
- A proactive and client‑focused approach
Experience with software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Digita would be advantageous.
