My client, a well-established and highly regarded chartered accountancy practice based in Poole, is looking to expand their private client tax team due to continued growth and client demand. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to join a supportive environment where you\’ll work with interesting, high-net-worth clients while developing your career.
The Role: You\’ll be joining a busy and dynamic team, taking ownership of a varied portfolio of private clients. This isn\’t just a compliance role – you\’ll be providing valuable tax planning advice and building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex and interesting matters while being supported in their professional development.
Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr – $65,000.00/yr

What You\’ll Be Doing
- Managing your own portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trusts
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and trust returns
- Providing proactive tax planning advice on inheritance tax, capital gains, and income tax matters
- Handling complex cases, including non-domiciled clients and international structures
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships as their trusted advisor
- Supervising junior staff and contributing to their development
- Keeping up-to-date with tax legislation and advising clients on changes
- Supporting the team with HMRC enquiries and investigations
What They\’re Looking For
- ATT or CTA qualified – preferably
- Previous experience in private client tax within an accounting practice or similar professional environment
- Strong technical knowledge across personal taxation
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly
- Someone who can work independently but also collaborate effectively within a team
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
