A growing organisation within the accountancy space is looking to appoint a capable and detail-focused Cloud Bookkeeping Assistant to join their collaborative finance function in North West London. This Cloud Bookkeeping Assistant role sits within a specialist bookkeeping and advisory division, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. In this Cloud Bookkeeping Assistant position, you'll take ownership of key transactional and reconciliations work while also acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, helping to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing and checking financial transactions prepared by junior team members
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of ledgers
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns within deadlines
- Acting as a key client contact via email and telephone
- Responding to a wide range of bookkeeping and finance-related queries
- Coordinating with internal processing teams to ensure records are complete and accurate
- Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts files for senior staff review
- Maintaining high professional and ethical standards at all times
- Providing general administrative support to the wider team when required
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience within accountancy
- Strong IT skills with confidence using Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines effectively
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to work independently
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, VAT, or cloud accounting systems is highly desirable
- Salary between £26,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working model combining office time in North West London with home working
- 25 days annual leave plus additional Christmas/New Year closure days
