Join an expanding M&A Tax Team! Are you a qualified tax professional looking to advance your career in an exciting, growth-focused environment? My client’s M&A Tax Team is seeking a talented M&A Tax Manager to join their dynamic Corporate & Business Tax department.
Location: London Office, W1T
Salary: Up to £75,000!
About the Role:
As an M&A Tax Manager, you’ll work directly alongside our experienced partners and directors, providing specialist tax advice on corporate transactions ranging from £5m to over £100m. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a team that handles every deal from start to finish, with significant growth potential and no shortage of quality work. Clients include owner-managed businesses, their shareholders, and increasingly, institutional buyers and investors. You’ll be at the heart of transactions typically valued between £15m-£50m, working on both sell-side advisory and buy-side due diligence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery: Manage day-to-day workflow on transaction projects and deliver technical advisory and due diligence reports
- Client relationship management: Communicate with all transaction stakeholders, including clients and their professional advisors
- Technical expertise: Provide advice across all areas of UK taxation, with support from internal specialist teams for PAYE and VAT matters
- Team development: Train and support junior team members through delegation and on-the-job coaching
- Transaction support including: Pre-sale support and tax restructuring, Buy-side due diligence for acquisitions and lending reviews, Transaction tax structuring advice to vendors, Post-sale integration and group rationalisation
The Individual:
- UK transaction tax experience with deals in the £5m+ range
- Background from advisory practice (not in-house roles)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver under tight transaction deadlines
- Personal drive and ambition to succeed
- Desire to expand tax skill set across new areas
- Commercial understanding of tax technical knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and IT skills
- Relationship-building capabilities
