I'm working with a fast-growing top 20 UK accountancy firm to identify an experienced Audit Manager for their Leeds office. This is a confidential search and an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, technically strong accountant looking to lead audits in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

What’s in store

  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, reviewing junior colleagues' work and delivering high-quality, timely outputs.
  • Prepare and manage jobs to meaningful budgets while meeting client and partner expectations.
  • Mentor trainees and seniors, providing coaching, feedback, and development support.
  • Build strong client relationships, acting as the "go-to" contact for audit queries and advisory input.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to clients and support their business growth.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to maintain robust audit standards and contribute to firm culture.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong audit experience in UK accountancy practice, ideally across SME clients.
  • Proficient in UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA standards.
  • Technically confident and tech-savvy, with strong Microsoft Office skills; CCH knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage clients, juniors, and partners.
  • Motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
