A growing and dynamic accountancy firm based in Harrow is seeking a motivated Semi‐Senior Accountant to join its team. The firm provides a full range of services including accounting, audit, tax and advisory to a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from individuals to international businesses.
This role is ideal for someone with UK practice experience who is either part‐qualified or newly qualified and is looking to take the next step in their accounting career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of year‐end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Assisting on statutory audits, including planning and fieldwork
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients under supervision
- Liaising with HMRC on client matters
- Communicating directly with clients to gather and clarify information
- Supporting senior staff on ad‐hoc assignments and consultancy work
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget
- Reviewing the work of junior team members when required

- Minimum 2‐3 years of UK accountancy practice experience
- Part‐qualified ACA/ACCA or newly qualified
- Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
- Experience using accounting software such as IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
