We are currently looking to grow our Commercial Team to account for our continued increase of project requirements. We are seeking a focused, proactive, energetic & dynamic Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our hard-working team and kick-start their commercial career in construction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Support: Assist senior commercial staff in the financial management of projects ranging from £50k to £6m+, from inception through to final accounts.
  • Cost Control & Measurement: Learn to prepare accurate valuations, variations, and cost reports, helping to protect our project margins.
  • Build Relationships: Assist in managing and expanding our robust network of Scottish subcontractors, including measuring works, issuing inquiries, and assessing tender returns.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Engage closely with the wider team to ensure seamless communication between site delivery and commercial management teams, leading to excellent client outcomes.

What You Bring To The Team (Requirements)

  • Education: A recently completed or nearing completion degree (BSc Hons) in Quantity Surveying or a closely related commercial construction discipline.
  • Market Passion: A keen interest in the Scottish construction market and a desire to build your career across Glasgow and wider Scotland.
  • Technical Rigor: Sharp analytical skills, strong IT literacy (particularly Excel), and the ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
