The Opportunity: I am seeking an experienced Employment Tax Assistant Manager to join an expanding team, where you will manage a diverse client portfolio while developing your advisory skills and leadership capabilities. You will be at the heart of the employment tax practice, managing the full compliance cycle while spotting opportunities to add value through advisory work.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage annual employment tax compliance including P11Ds, PSA, STBV and ERS reporting
- Oversee year-end reporting and ensure timely, accurate deliverables
- Support due diligence and policy reviews
- Provide technically robust advice on pay and benefits, employee status, and payroll compliance
- Identify and develop advisory opportunities from your compliance work
- Build strong client relationships and understand their commercial needs
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Guide technical development and ensure quality standards
About You:
- CTA and/or ACA qualified (preferred)
- Recent practical experience managing an employment tax compliance portfolio
- Strong technical knowledge of employment tax legislation
- Proactive, commercially minded approach
- Confidence to establish credibility at all levels
- Team-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills - both one-to-one and presentations
- Problem-solving mindset with creative flair
