A well-established and respected accountancy firm based in Finchley is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio, take on leadership responsibilities, and contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and finalise year-end accounts and corporation tax returns for a varied client base, including SMEs and group entities, under FRS 105, FRS 102, and IFRS frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to deliver bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management reports across a portfolio of UK-based clients.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to support clients with insights into performance, trends, and strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant reporting standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Act as a key liaison for the portfolio lead, ensuring consistent and professional client communication.
  • Oversee and support junior team members, providing technical mentoring, workflow supervision, and quality control.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and support the adoption of efficient working practices across the department.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or newly qualified with strong experience).
  • Sound understanding of UK GAAP , particularly FRS 102 , FRS 105 , and IFRS .
  • Practical experience using a range of accounting tools including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, VT+, Sage, IRIS , and Microsoft Office.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to build rapport and deliver guidance to both clients and colleagues.
  • Previous experience managing client relationships and supporting less experienced team members.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident in working independently with minimal supervision.
