The Opportunity: I’m on the lookout for a Corporate Tax Senior to join a cooperative and high-performing Business Tax team in my client’s Cardiff Office. If you’re ready to work closely with ambitious UK and international businesses, deliver impactful tax advice, and take real ownership of your work, this will be your next perfect step!
What You’ll Be Doing: As a Business Tax Senior, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio and contribute to the wider growth and development of the tax team. Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
- Assisting with P11Ds, PSAs, ATED, ERS, and EMI reporting
- Working on advisory projects including capital allowances reviews, succession planning, profit extraction strategies, and employee incentivisation
- Identifying wider tax planning opportunities and collaborating with specialists across the firm
- Building relationships with clients and managing day-to-day communications
- Supporting junior team members through coaching, review, and knowledge-sharing
- Collaborating across offices and service lines to ensure joined-up, value-driven delivery
The Individual:
- ACA / ACCA qualified and/or ATT or CTA qualified (or close to completion)
- Some experience of working on advisory or project-based assignments
- Ability to interpret financial accounts and understand broader tax implications
- Writes and speaks with ease, with a client-focused mindset
- Working knowledge of Alphatax (preferred, but not essential)
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and confidence in mentoring junior staff
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
