The Opportunity
Audit Manager , you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from ambitious owner-managed businesses to large corporate groups and international organisations.
You’ll lead complex audit assignments, develop trusted client relationships and play a key role in mentoring and developing the next generation of audit professionals.
This is a leadership position that combines technical excellence, people management and commercial responsibility, offering genuine exposure to senior decision-makers across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring exceptional client service throughout.
- Review statutory financial statements prepared under UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage audit budgets, WIP, billing and overall financial performance of your portfolio.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to provide additional value and advisory services.
- Lead, coach and mentor Audit Seniors and trainees, supporting their professional development.
- Work closely with Partners on larger and more complex engagements, business development initiatives and strategic projects.
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with the highest technical and regulatory standards.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Significant external audit experience gained within UK accountancy practice.
- Previous experience managing client portfolios and leading audit teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards.
- Experience managing group audits and preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Commercially aware with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Passionate about developing people and delivering an exceptional client experience.
