We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planner to join our growing team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide sophisticated financial advice, develop tailored strategies for clients, and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals and complex portfolios. You will have the autonomy to lead client engagements and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial planning, including investment, retirement, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning, and risk management.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of trust and satisfaction.
- Conduct in-depth client fact-finding, needs analysis, and strategy formulation.
- Oversee complex client portfolios, ensuring ongoing suitability and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with paraplanners and administrators to ensure timely delivery of reports, recommendations, and client service.
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements, market trends, and product developments.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, networking, and supporting growth targets.
- Mentor and support junior planners within the team.
Requirements
- Level 6 or Chartered status with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning, preferably within an IFA or wealth management environment.
- Proven track record of managing client portfolios and delivering successful financial strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire trust in clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of investments, pensions, tax planning, and protection products.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the firm's strategic vision.
