You will work within a dynamic practice environment, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. This role offers genuine career progression within a Top 20 firm, along with exposure to complex and varied accounting work.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of management accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Completion and submission of VAT Returns and CIS Returns
- Processing sales and purchase ledgers across multiple clients
- Managing prepayments, accruals, and month-end procedures
- Conducting bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records to Trial Balance level
- Delivering Xero training and software advisory services to clients
- Supporting and reviewing outsourced team members
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Proven experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT procedures, and management accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software including Xero, Sage, and IRIS
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong IT capabilities and adaptability to new systems
- Ability to manage own workload, prioritise effectively, and work to tight deadlines
- Professional qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or part-qualified)
- Experience in client training and staff mentoring
- Background in reviewing outsourced operations
