The Role
As an Audit Senior, you'll take responsibility for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, working alongside managers and partners to deliver a high‑quality service to a broad portfolio of clients.
You'll gain exposure to a wide range of sectors and businesses, including owner‑managed companies, large corporates and international groups.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading audit fieldwork assignments and ensuring delivery to agreed deadlines
Planning and coordinating audits from initial stages through to completion
Supervising, reviewing and supporting junior team members
Preparing and reviewing financial statements under UK GAAP
Identifying risks and communicating findings to senior management
Building strong working relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
Collaborating with wider teams to deliver an efficient and professional service
Assisting with the development and coaching of junior colleagues
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have gained audit experience within an accountancy practice environment and are looking to continue progressing their career.
You'll ideally have:
At least 18 months' experience within external audit
Experience leading audit assignments from fieldwork through to completion
AAT qualification or be studying towards ACA or ACCA
Good working knowledge of UK GAAP
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
A proactive and professional approach to client service
Experience with audit software packages and established audit methodologies would be beneficial but is not essential.
