A well-established and growing accountancy firm in London is looking to appoint an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join its management team. This position offers a broad role with around 75% focused on audit and 25% on statutory accounts, working with a wide-ranging portfolio of dynamic, owner-managed businesses. The successful candidate will manage a client base of approximately 40 companies, with turnovers spanning from £1 million to £90 million, and annual fees starting from c£500,000. We're seeking someone who is ACA or ACCA qualified with at least three years of post-qualification experience.
Duties:
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high service standards are maintained.
- Leading audit and accounting projects from planning through to sign-off.
- Reviewing work prepared by team members, with a focus on audit files and year-end accounts.
- Meeting regularly with clients alongside partners to provide strategic and technical advice.
- Overseeing the preparation of corporation tax computations and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
- Getting involved in business development activities, including networking and pitching for new clients.
- Supporting the growth of the office and mentoring junior team members.
Experience Required:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with solid post-qualified experience.
- Strong working knowledge of FRS 102.
- Demonstrable experience running audits from start to finish.
- Competent across MS Office (especially Excel), and familiar with accounting software.
- Experience with Caseware and Digita would be a plus, but not essential.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
