We are partnering with leading firms in the accountancy and tax advisory industry to strengthen their Tax Disputes teams.
These opportunities offer exposure to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and large corporates, giving you the chance to work on complex tax enquiries, investigations, and dispute resolution matters.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of tax enquiries and dispute cases from inception through to resolution.
- Advising clients on HMRC enquiries, disclosures, and investigations.
- Supporting and contributing to
- COP8 and
COP9 cases.
- Liaising directly with HMRC and preparing technical correspondence.
- Assisting Partners and Directors on complex advisory and dispute resolution matters.
- Supporting junior team members and reviewing work where appropriate.
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development activity.
About You
We are looking for candidates who have
- Experience in Tax Disputes, Investigations, or HMRC enquiries within practice or HMRC.
- Exposure to
- COP8 and
COP9 cases.
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and HMRC enquiry processes.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT, or equivalent (or working towards).
- Previous HMRC operational enquiry experience is highly desirable, particularly within compliance, investigations, or teams managing COP8 and COP9 cases.
