If you're an Accounts Senior looking for more variety, more client exposure and a firm where your development is genuinely invested in, this opportunity is well worth exploring. I'm working with a highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm that has built an outstanding reputation for both its client service and its people‑first culture. As the team continues to grow, they're looking to appoint an ambitious Accounts Senior to join a collaborative department supporting an impressive portfolio of professional services clients.

The Opportunity

  • You'll become a trusted member of a close‑knit team, working with an established portfolio of professional services businesses, including legal sector clients, owner‑managed businesses and growing organisations.
  • While previous experience working with legal sector clients or knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules would be advantageous, it certainly isn't essential. Full training and support will be provided for the right individual.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Producing management accounts, financial forecasts and business reporting.
  • Assisting with audit assignments where required.
  • Preparing corporation tax, partnership tax, personal tax and VAT returns.
  • Supporting bookkeeping assignments and reviewing financial records.
  • Working closely with clients to resolve queries and provide day‑to‑day support.
  • Monitoring assignments against budgets and deadlines.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add value.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

About You

  • You’ll ideally be AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified, or currently studying towards qualification, with experience gained within UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong accounts preparation experience.
  • Exposure to management accounts and tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple client deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An interest in broadening your technical knowledge across accounts, advisory and professional services.

What’s On Offer?

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Hybrid and flexible working.
  • A genuinely supportive and collaborative culture.
  • Exposure to a high‑quality and varied client portfolio.
  • Structured training and ongoing professional development.
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing and successful firm.
  • Enhanced pension and life assurance.
  • Health cash plan and wellbeing support.
  • Enhanced family‑friendly benefits.
  • Additional annual leave purchase scheme.
  • Paid volunteering day.
  • Employee wellbeing initiatives and retail discounts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, wants to broaden their technical exposure and is looking to join a firm where people are supported, recognised and encouraged to build long‑term careers. If you'd like to find out more, I'd be delighted to have a confidential conversation.
