Some roles give you a checklist. Others give you proper exposure, real client interaction, and the chance to build something beyond compliance. This is firmly in the second camp. A well-established professional services firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior to support a varied portfolio of clients while developing both technical depth and advisory capability. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues and have early exposure to more complex work than you might expect at this level. It's a role that suits someone who wants to take ownership, build relationships, and progress without being micromanaged.
The role involves managing day-to-day delivery across a portfolio while contributing to wider project work. You'll be part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality tax support within an Accountancy firm.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for a range of clients
- Producing tax disclosures and supporting statutory reporting requirements
- Managing your own workload to meet deadlines and client expectations
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing updates
- Liaising with HMRC on routine matters and correspondence
- Supporting group reporting requirements and instalment payment regimes
- Assisting on advisory projects through research and drafting initial outputs
- Working alongside senior team members on transactional and planning work
What we're looking for:
- Strong grounding in accounting with experience in a professional services environment
- Good understanding of UK corporation tax compliance
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
- Familiarity with systems such as CCH or similar
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using technology
- Clear and approachable communication style
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Genuine interest in developing advisory skills alongside compliance
What's on offer:
- Estimated salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working with flexibility around time in Warwick
- Exposure to both compliance and advisory work from an early stage
- Supportive environment focused on development and progression
- Broad client base across sectors within professional services
- Ongoing training to build technical expertise
This is a strong opportunity for a Corporate Tax Senior looking to step into a more progressive role within professional services in Warwick.
