About the Company
Our client is a leading European group specialising in ground support equipment services. They provide a comprehensive range of solutions including equipment rental, fleet management, maintenance services, refurbishment and sales.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sales and Logistics Coordinator to join our client's south Bedford site and oversee all UK-related commercial activities. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will manage the administrative processes for sales operations, including international transport coordination and customs clearance of equipment units.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial & Contract Management
- Review and manage commercial contracts
- Verify customer insurance policies and conduct annual renewals
- Maintain and update the ERP database
- Sales Operations & Financial Processing
- Process contract setup, monitoring and invoicing within the ERP system
- Ensure alignment between invoicing, accounting and workshop operations
- Track customer payments and manage outstanding receivables (working closely with accounting and sales teams)
- Procurement & Supply Chain
- Issue purchase orders to sister companies and third-party suppliers
- Monitor delivery schedules and invoicing timelines
- Logistics & Transportation
- Negotiate transport costs and provide estimates to the sales team
- Coordinate end-to-end goods transportation, including scheduling with customers and sister companies, arranging collections, preparing all transport and import/export documentation, and tracking shipments
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of export and import documentation
- Strong understanding of customs regulations (including HS codes), transport legislation and international trade rules
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and SUN software
- Personable with strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team player
