Join Insite Energy as a Senior Installations & Commissioning Engineer and take the lead in delivering high‑quality smart metering and energy system installations across UK residential and construction sites. This is a hands‑on, senior field role where you’ll set the standard for technical excellence, guide engineers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, correctly, and to specification.
What You’ll Do
- Lead on‑site installation and commissioning of smart metering and AMR systems.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and act as the senior technical escalation point.
- Support Project Managers with planning, coordination, and real‑time site feedback.
- Produce clear, accurate technical documentation and installation records.
- Carry out compliance audits and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with clients and third‑party providers to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage tools, stock, and equipment responsibly.
Location and working hours
- Field‑based, mostly across Greater London with UK wide travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 20:00. Possibility of inclusion of on‑call rota.
