Join Our Operations & Maintenance Team. We’re looking for an organised, proactive, and hands‑on Operations Coordinator to play a central role in keeping our engineering and field operations running smoothly. Our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team underpins every aspect of stock, tooling, systems, and engineering support across the business, ensuring our service delivery is efficient, compliant, and ready to scale.
As our Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the team. You’ll manage engineer van stock, oversee tooling and asset tracking, coordinate between internal teams, and keep our systems and processes aligned. While fleet experience is not essential, you’ll be confident working with data, systems, and operational workflows, and keen to learn new areas as the role develops. You’ll ensure our engineers have what they need, when they need it, while you maintain the accuracy and structure that keeps our operations performing at their best. You’ll report to the Field Operations Manager and work closely with Planning, Finance, and the wider operational teams to maintain the workflows that keep our field teams equipped and ready. This role is ideally suited for someone who has recently completed relevant training or education, or for applicants with entry‑level experience in a similar role. It offers the chance to grow quickly within a small but expanding business, make a real impact across operations, and develop valuable skills in a flourishing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineer van stock and small lock-up stock levels.
- Oversee fleet administration for ~ 20 vans, including maintenance scheduling, compliance tracking, and onboarding.
- Coordinate between Planning, Finance, and Engineering teams to keep operations aligned.
- Manage engineer tooling, asset tracking, and record accuracy.
- Receive deliveries, manage stock movement, and maintain warehouse organisation.
- Support engineer onboarding and maintain system records across fleet, tooling and stock.
- Contribute to wider operational administration as the role develops.
- Support process improvement and help refine operational workflows.
Required Skills And Attributes
- Strong administrative experience in operations, logistics, or engineering support.
- Experience with fleet administration (e.g., maintenance scheduling, compliance tracking, vehicle onboarding, insurance/tax updates).
- Practical experience with stock control or warehouse processes, including deliveries, issuing materials, and cycle counts.
- Strong Excel skills and confident use of MS Office.
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and processes.
- Experience with operational platforms such as Monday.com (desirable).
- BigChange system knowledge (highly desirable).
- Sage experience helpful, but not essential.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, especially with asset records, compliance, and stock accuracy.
- Clear communicator, able to work closely with engineers, planners, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Exposure to change or process improvement is a strong plus.
Benefits
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 based on knowledge, skills and experience.
- Holiday Allowance: 25 days of holiday per year, plus English bank and public holidays, plus an additional day of Birthday leave.
- Pension Scheme: Employer pension contribution matched at 4%.
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): Free, confidential support available for personal and professional challenges.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme: "DO RIGHT WITH INSITE" provides up to 2 paid days off per year for volunteering with company-led initiatives.
- Social Events: Regular company social events, including an annual Summer Party and Christmas Party.
This benefits package offers a vibrant and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth, work-life balance, and community engagement.
