Key Responsibilities- Enhancing and enriching quality of life for people we support by enabling them to keep moving towards agreed goals and life skills.
- Maintain the general health, wellbeing and emotional needs of people we support, including personal care, attending health appointments, administering medication, and responding to medical concerns.
- Ensure the safety of people we support by complying with health and safety requirements and safeguarding policies.
- Encourage people we support to access a range of opportunities and experiences, maximising their inclusion and participation in the community.
- Support new team members and help people stay connected with family and friends.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with legislation and organisation policies.
- Work as part of a team in a constructive and supportive manner, contributing to a culture of open communication.
- Support behaviours that challenge safely and supportively, using skills learnt through training.
- Be flexible in task responsibilities as they may be unpredictable and varied.
- Experience in healthcare work is beneficial but not necessary as full training is provided.

- Care Certificate to be completed within first 6 months in post.
- Committed to completing 100% allocated eLearning and face-to-face training.
- Ability to ask for help when required and work as part of a team.
- Level 2 in Adult Care or equivalent – desirable.
- BSL Level 1 qualification – desirable for working within our deaf services.
- This role will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
