Key Responsibilities
  • Enhancing and enriching quality of life for people we support by enabling them to keep moving towards agreed goals and life skills.
  • Maintain the general health, wellbeing and emotional needs of people we support, including personal care, attending health appointments, administering medication, and responding to medical concerns.
  • Ensure the safety of people we support by complying with all health and safety requirements and safeguarding policies.
  • Encourage people we support to access a range of opportunities and experiences, maximising their inclusion and participation in the community.
  • Support new team members.
  • Support people we support to stay connected with family and friends, and to participate in social and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with legislation and organisation policies.
  • Work as part of a team in a constructive and supportive manner, contributing to a culture of open communication and feedback.
  • Support behaviours that challenge safely and supportively, using skills and approved approaches learnt through training.
  • Be flexible in task responsibilities as they may be unpredictable and varied.
Requirements
  • Experience in healthcare work is beneficial but not necessary as full training is provided.
  • Passionate, hard-working, and empathetic individuals will fit right in.
  • Care Certificate to be completed within first 6 months in post.
  • Committed to completing 100% allocated eLearning and face-to-face training as required.
  • Ability to ask for help when required and work as part of a team.
  • Level 2 in Adult Care or equivalent – desirable.
  • BSL Level 1 qualification – desirable.
  • This role will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
