Industrial Test Development Engineer – London – £32-40 DOE per hour (Umbrella) – 2 year Contract Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this role is to develop and support test software for functional test programs, manage and optimise test benches, and ensure the successful integration and validation of optical, electrical, and high-voltage systems. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to enhance testing capabilities and support production processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and support test software (LabVIEW/TestStand) for functional test programs. Collaborate with R&D to design and optimise test benches. Perform optical and performance testing, addressing test failures and issues. Control and manage new test stations and measuring equipment. Conduct regression testing for new software packages and release to production teams. Validate and ensure robustness of automated test benches. Analyse and optimise existing test programs for new environments. Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on new test processes. Candidate Requirements : Proficiency in C++, LabVIEW, TestStand Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field Experience in High Voltage, Optical, or Electrical Engineering (training in one of these disciplines is required – training will be provided to cover skills gaps.
