Are you a seasoned RF Design Engineer ready to take on an exciting and rewarding challenge? We are seeking talented and security-clearable professionals to join our team on a full-time, onsite basis. This 12-month contract offers a competitive umbrella rate of 65 – 75 per hour and the opportunity to work on advanced RF electronics projects in a cutting-edge environment.

About the Role
As an RF Design Engineer, you will spearhead the design of sophisticated RF electronics systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will engage with stakeholders to ensure that designs are delivered on time and integrate seamlessly with other system components. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced RF electronic systems, ensuring timely delivery and technical integration.
  • Perform hands-on testing and validation to ensure designs meet environmental and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including the Datalink core team, Design Authority, and Software & Firmware Engineering.
  • Develop and optimize RF electronic designs, including receiver/transmitter amplifier chains, filters, frequency synthesizers, and Software Defined Radios (SDRs) across the 30MHz to 30GHz range.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle of RF electronics, including power supply design and digital interface integration.

Essential Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who bring expertise in many of the following areas:

  • Proven RF electronics design experience, including creating complex RF systems for challenging environments (EMC, vibration, thermal).
  • Expertise in designing receiver/transmitter chains, filters, synthesizers, and SDRs.
  • Strong understanding of power supply design and digital interfaces for RF products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end development of RF electronic equipment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • A self-starter with energy, enthusiasm, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • A degree in a relevant engineering field is highly desirable.
