We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner / Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background in CNC turning to contribute to the production of high-quality, close-tolerance components in a professional manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
  • Work within a machine shop environment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
  • Read and make adjustments to existing CNC programs
  • Use a range of precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances
  • Manage day-to-day machining tasks to ensure smooth workflow and output
  • Complete production and quality documentation
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Setter
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Confident using precision measuring equipment
  • Experience working with Fanuc-controlled machines (or similar)
  • Live tooling experience desirable

Additional Experience (Advantageous):

  • Experience working with sub-spindle machines
  • Experience using other CNC machines such as mills or EDM
